From a $5 Basement Sleeper to a $160 Payday! (Etsy & eBay What Sold)
If you’ve been reselling for any length of time, you know there is nothing quite like the thrill of a “slow burner” finally finding its perfect buyer.
In my latest video (uploaded on July 6th), I’m sharing a breakdown of my recent vintage and antique sales on eBay and Etsy. While the summer heat has been rolling in, my profit margins have been heating up, too!
The Star of the Show: The $5.00 Bride Doll
My absolute favorite sale from this batch has to be a vintage Furga Alta Moda Simona Bride Doll in her original wedding dress.
To be honest, this beautiful Italian doll sat in my basement for years. She had almost zero views, no questions, and zero interest from buyers. I was starting to think she’d be a permanent resident of my inventory! But as any seasoned picker knows, sometimes you just have to be patient.
Out of nowhere, she suddenly sold for $160.00 plus shipping on Etsy! Considering I originally only paid $5.00 for her at an estate auction, that is a massive return on investment and a huge win.
Things are Picking Up!
While the market has felt a little slow lately, this week’s sales are proof that things are officially starting to pick up again.
If you haven’t had a chance to watch the full video breakdown yet, grab a drink and click play below. I think you’ll be thoroughly impressed by some of the unique items that went out the door this week—and what buyers were willing to pay for them!
